During COVID-19, our CHNY health care professionals need efficient PPE materials to support the vital operations of our Federally Qualified Medical Clinic. Thanks to Americares, we received 4,000 N95 masks and 4,600 gowns.

Alison is an invaluable member of the CHNY community. She has supported several members of our team with administrative tasks, helped us source book donations, and donated items for our MINDs mental health program. There’s not much that Alison doesn’t do!

Dig was one of the first supporters to emerge during those initial dark days of COVID-19 and provided a ton of delicious nourishment - 2,820 bowls and 4,084 lbs of raw produce! Their support stands out - Dig is our only donor to provide food across all CHNY sites and programs.

Huge thanks go to the Dreambuilders Foundation and United Healthcare for donating a variety of high need essentials including: duffel bags, toothbrushes, shampoo, bar soap, lotion, duvets and sheets, robes, shower caddies, cookware, silverware, dinnerware, and small appliances - the list goes on!!

Even with the uncertainty of the 2020 school year, this student-powered organization was sure to take the time and fulfill our needs for back-to-school. Thanks to Sparks Within Reach, we received 70 backpacks and 159 brand new books for our literacy program.

During thick of COVID and even now - WCK listens to needs, then responds thoughtfully. First, it was 2,280 meals for our Crisis Shelter. Next, it was WCK Direct: a unique text-to-request meal program for our youth living in permanent housing. This Stuyvesant High School student has found so many ways to support our youth virtually! She helped coordinate the sponsorship of outdoor furniture, donated a bookshelf for our Mother Child program, provided a projector and books for Rights of Passage youth, and is now turning her attention to a consistent donation of books for our childrens' literacy program.

This volunteer-led organization has gone above and beyond for our youngest at CHNY. Recent donations include 56 baby and toddler coats, 5 strollers, lots of baby clothing, 5,960 diapers, and child-proofing products for our Safe Care parenting program!

Moms for Moms takes so much care when putting together care packages: their Baby Bundle kit provides newborn essentials, and their Postpartum Recovery kits offer self-care items for mom. We are so grateful for the 25 kits we’ve received for our new moms!

We are fortunate to have Relish as a neighbor to our 3 Bronx sites. Food donations kicked off in April and continued weekly through the summer. 1,998 meals later… our young people were able to enjoy everything from grilled teriyaki to buffalo chicken meatballs - and homemade danishes too!

We are so thankful to Rethink Food for their pledge to continue to support us indefinitely. Meals arrive 2x per week to our Crisis shelter, a layer of support that has been instrumental to our kitchen operations. We’re 4,320 meals and counting thanks to Rethink!

We are so thankful to have SL Green in our corner, especially when it comes to their delicious food. Their Food1st program has provided 1,425 meals to our youth - and that # is still growing. Our youth have gotten to taste moussaka, pastitsio, and poke bowls too!

SHNNY’s ongoing PPE donations have addressed critical safety needs onsite, while offering peace of mind to both our staff and youth. Thanks to SHNNY’s support, we have received hand sanitizer, 7,000 pairs of gloves, and 38,000 masks.

We are fortunate to be a part of the Tao family. They were one of the first to reach out during COVID-19 and delivered a very generous amount of food from 6 of their restaurants. Most recently, we had a special delivery from Luchini - making for a perfect Friday pizza night!
